Does the itinerary include all admissions? Yes. It includes entrance fees to archaeological sites (Machu Picchu), cultural and natural attractions, community experiences (Cuper), wellness circuits, and the train and local bus tickets specified in the program. It also includes domestic airfare for the route.
What is the most intense part of the trip? The hike to the Tantamarka viewpoint and the tours of the Machu Picchu steps are the most active activities, although they are done at a very comfortable pace.
Is it necessary to acclimatize beforehand? The itinerary has been strategically structured to facilitate gradual acclimatization. It begins at sea level (Lima), and upon reaching the Andes, it immediately descends to the Sacred Valley (at a lower altitude than the city of Cusco), which significantly reduces the risk of altitude sickness.
Is there cell phone signal? Stable signal available in Lima, Urubamba, and Cusco. Signal may be limited, intermittent, or nonexistent during certain sections of the hikes at the viewpoints and in the community of Cuper.
Can it be done all year round? Yes. The experience operates year-round. The dry season (May to October) offers sunny days in the Andes. The rainy season (November to April) showcases the intensely green Andean landscapes and a mystical atmosphere, ideal for the Sacred Valley.
