Your day begins after breakfast as you meet your private guide and travel toward the highland landscapes of Pucamarca, where sweeping Andean scenery sets the stage for a day of cultural discovery and connection.
In the community of Cuper, surrounded by sacred lagoons, agricultural terraces, and expansive mountain views, you will have the opportunity to experience traditions that continue to play an important role in the daily lives of Andean communities.
The morning includes gentle walks alongside alpacas and time to appreciate the natural surroundings before participating in a traditional offering ceremony to Pachamama (Mother Earth), guided by a representative of the Q’eros community. This respectful cultural experience offers insight into spiritual practices that have been preserved across generations in the Andes.
You will then continue to Chinchero, where local artisans will demonstrate traditional spinning, natural dyeing, and weaving techniques. Here, you will discover why textiles remain one of the most important cultural expressions of the Andean world.
Lunch features a traditional Pachamanca prepared using ancestral cooking methods and accompanied by local music and cultural performances.
In the afternoon, the experience continues in Urubamba with a visit to Cerámicas Seminario, one of the Sacred Valley’s most respected art workshops. During a private session, you will learn about the techniques, symbolism, and cultural influences found in contemporary Andean ceramics, while creating and decorating your own piece inspired by pre-Hispanic traditions.
At the end of the day, you will return to Cusco.
