Your experience begins with a private pick-up from your hotel and a scenic drive to the community of Cruzpata, located in the highlands of the Sacred Valley.
Upon arrival, you will receive a brief safety orientation before setting out on an ATV ride along rural trails surrounded by agricultural fields, mountain scenery, and sweeping Andean landscapes. The route offers a unique perspective of the Sacred Valley while following paths still used by local communities today.
Your first major stop is Moray, one of the most fascinating archaeological sites in the Andes. Its concentric circular terraces, built by the Incas, continue to intrigue visitors and researchers alike due to their possible agricultural and experimental functions.
You will then continue to the Maras Salt Terraces, a remarkable network of thousands of salt pools fed by natural mineral springs and harvested since pre-Columbian times. The interplay of colors, textures, and mountain scenery makes this one of the most iconic landscapes in the Sacred Valley.
The experience concludes in Chinchero, where you will visit a traditional weaving center to learn about ancestral spinning, natural dyeing, and weaving techniques that have been passed down through generations. Here, you will have the opportunity to meet local artisans and gain a deeper understanding of the role textiles play within Andean culture and worldview.
After the visit, you will return to Cusco.
